.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: 504581. Reblued metal finish overall mounting replaced diamond checkered Cocobolo grips. Single action short-recoil operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Item mounts military pattern sights, a flat lanyard loop mainspring housing, wide 1911 pattern hammer, and frame showing the teardrop cuts to the frame indicative of a Black Army. Left slide marked PATENTED APR. 2, 1897. SEPT. 9, 1902/DEC. 19, 1905. FEB. 14, 1911. AUG. 19, 1913 followed by {Rampant Colt} and COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. Right slide marked MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY. Left frame struck UNITED STATES PROPERTY, with an {Eaglehead/S5} inspection mark above magazine release. Right frame displays serial number only. Barrel has a polished down P stamp to chamber that is perpendicular to the axis of the bore. H stamp to rear slide. Lower barrel marked GS. Magazine is fully blued and unmarked. {C&R}

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Dirty with some streaks of patina and oxidation with strong rifling, and firing residues throughout. Metal refinish shows edgewear particularly to slide with some scattered light scratches, gray mottling over backstrap, and some brown flecking to forward gripstrap. Bushing shows some front to back movement. Further flecking on the barrel. Grips show few light dents on left panel.
