
**Colt Model 1917 .45
.45 ACP. 5.5" barrel length. SN: 304921. Parkerized metal arsenal refinish with smooth walnut grips, polished hammer flanks, blued trigger, and lanyard loop to butt. Double action six-shot hand ejector revolver mounting topstrap rear notch and front blade sights. Top of the barrel struck with two-line address and patent mark. Standard COLT D.A 45 to left barrel, and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marking below barrel. Butt marked U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/NO/154/740. Matching numbers on frame and crane. Government markings include double stamped A to left frame, {Eaglehead/S20} forward of hammer on left frame, with H and F stamps to interior. Grips have been sanded, and lack visible cartouches. Front sight, address, and caliber roll mark are offset slightly to the left. Inspector mark is in line with ejector rod, meaning it left the factory with the barrel canted and passed inspection. {C&R}

Condition
Good as Rearsenaled. Bore is primarily Frosty with brown patina and some residues. Metal finish displays gray flecking on the hammer flanks, and brown spots to forward triggerguard. Further brown patina on gripstraps. Some light edgewear. Grips worn and sanded with dents, scratches, and abrasions. Action exhibits good timing. Some stiffness to action, possibly due to old lubricants.
