
**Gotthilf v. Nordheimr Martini Action Schuetzen Rifle
8.15x46R. 30" fluted octagon to round barrel. SN: 108. Blued and color casehardened finish, European hardwood stock with Swiss style butt, raised carved decorations, raised cheek rest and checkered dog's head motif forend. Single shot Martini action target rifle with tang mounted peep rear sight, ramped blade front sight, double set triggers and skeletonized pistol grip operating lever. Barrel marked Gotthilf v. Nordheimr, Mehlis. Gottlieb v Nordhiem worked in Zella-Mahils circa 1916-1939. Receiver engraved tin simple, flowing foliate themes with raised carved oak leaves and acorns on the butt. Includes a steel cleaning and clearing rod.

Condition
Very Good. Bore somewhat dark with deep rifling and what appears to be a small eroded ring a few inches from the muzzle. Metal with much of the thinning and fading blue intact, with a dull appearance. Mechanically functional action. Wood with some moderate wear, scattered bumps, dings and mars, some minor chipped and some minor gapping at the receiver junction.
