.22 LR. 28" barrel length. SN: 6411. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in walnut semi-pistol grip stock with hand stop slot to handguard. Bolt action single shot target rifle with left receiver marked U.S.M.C. PROPERTY/22 LONG RIFLE. Standard Remington/MODEL 40-X maker mark to left receiver, and Remington barrel proofs. Item mounts bases for installing J. Unertl pattern scope. Serial number 6411 has been added to the bolt body with electropen, correct for military property .22 rifles. Comes with REDFIELD/International/MATCH rear sight with intact rubber eye cup, and REDFIELD/OLYMPIC/MODEL tunnel front sight. Also included is a mounting plate for rear sight. Good. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish is thinning on the barrel with some scattered light scratches, brown flecking near muzzle, gray patina on bolt knob, and some abrasions. Stock shows light handling dents, an eroded Winchester branded rubber buttplate, and some abrasions.
