
Early Jimmy Lile Lockback Folding Knife, Staghorn Handle, Full Name Engraved on Blade
2.75" blade length. 7" overall with hilt. Straight single edge drop point lockback folding knife featuring polished bolsters and staghorn grip scales. Grip scales are retained by three fasteners each and feature rounded edges. Left side of the blade is hand engraved with the maker marking Hand Made by/James B. Lile, indicating this to be one of the first custom knives made by Jimmy Lile.
A full time knifemaker from 1971, James "Jimmy" Lile continued to produce handmade knives until his death in 1991. The company now bearing his name continues to offer a wide variety of knives following Lile's original patterns. The best known of these being the enormous clip-point serrated bowie knives that Lile produced for the movie "Rambo: First Blood", starring Sylvester Stallone.

Condition
Very Good to Excellent. Blade retains a clean sharp edge without bites. Item shows some light scratches to the left bolster, and operating wear near ricasso. Grips retain polish. Blade locks securely in place with slight up and down wiggle.
