There are just no words to really describe this Antique Victorian Hand Painted Porcelain Plate with Ormolu Trim and Dolphin Footed Base. The plate is adorned with a charming couple mounted in gilt-bronze, resting on four dolphin legs. The plates are inserted in an ornamented gilt-bronze molding with ormolu band around the plate. The plate is not removable so I could not verify the maker the price is reduced even though it appears to be Sevres style Porcelain. There is raised paint on most of the plate the ormolu is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 12” x 8 ½” x 3 ½”. This is one of those signature pieces that stand out when displayed. Production 1800’s.
