
Description
Herb Mott, United States, 1923-2017, Ink on paper. Illustration depicting two men confronting a conductor while figures in the back work on loading a steam engine. In 1943, Mott joined the Air Force where he was stationed in Guam. There he was appointed to the graphic art department where he produced works for the base newspaper and training guides. After the war, Mott joined a graphic art studio in New York, selling illustrations to publishers, commercial advertisers and pulp magazines. Sight 13" x 22", Overall 20" x 28"
Condition
Unframed, matted, appears to be in overall good condition and displays well. Signed "Herb Mott" lower left.From the collection of Carl J. Pugliese.
