Porcelain vase of globular form with tall cylindrical neck, decorated with hand-painted peony blossoms and foliage on a pale celadon-toned ground.The body features black calligraphic inscription commemorating the completion of the Shimen Reservoir, dated June 1964 (Republic of China, Year 53). Signed to the side.The base bears an iron-red seal mark for a Taiwanese ceramic company, along with ??Made in Taiwan.??A mid-20th century commemorative porcelain example produced in Taiwan to mark the reservoir dedication.
