Description:A pair of Chinese Canton rose medallion porcelain vases, each of baluster form with flared rim, decorated with alternating panels depicting court figures in interior settings and floral motifs with butterflies, all in the typical rose, green, and gilt palette. Applied gilt lizard and foliate handles to the shoulders. Floral and scroll borders throughout.

Condition

One vase with a hairline crack and three chips; the other with one chip. Wear to gilt consistent with age. Sold as found.
