Title: Oil painting Quiet city street Alex Kalenyuk Description: NoAAA4008This oil painting cardboard, titled "Quiet city street", the result is a composition rich in movement, light, and color, where every element blends harmoniously into an inviting and nostalgic atmosphere. The painting depicts a narrow street flanked by historic buildings with weathered facades. The architecture, rendered in warm golden and earthy tones, exudes a sense of history and character. The artist's expressive brushwork brings out the depth and texture of the aged walls, suggesting peeling plaster, exposed bricks, and subtle shadows created by time. Windows and doorways, loosely defined, contribute to the sense of an intimate, quiet street where life moves at a slower pace. In the foreground, a solitary figure walks leisurely, accompanied by a small dog. The figure, painted with fluid and confident strokes, wears a blue jacket that contrasts beautifully against the golden hues of the buildings. The relaxed posture and slow stride suggest an unhurried pace, reinforcing the overall tranquility of the scene. The small dog, depicted with just a few strokes of dark paint, adds an element of warmth and companionship, making the scene feel lived-in and relatable. The cobblestone street is depicted with a mesmerizing blend of purples, pinks, and blues, reflecting the play of light and shadow. The irregular, thick strokes create a sense of uneven, well-worn pavement, guiding the viewer's eye deeper into the composition. The subtle use of warm highlights suggests the sunlight filtering through the buildings, casting a soft glow on the ground. As the street opens up, the background reveals a grand, sunlit building with a red-tiled roof, standing as the focal point of the composition. The contrast between the darker alleyway and the bright, open space ahead adds depth and perspective to the painting. Scattered throughout the scene are hints of greenery-trees and potted plants bringing life and freshness to the urban setting. Their deep greens contrast beautifully with the warm yellows and oranges of the buildings, adding a touch of nature to the otherwise man-made environment. The sky, painted in a vibrant blue with touches of white, feels expansive and bright, reinforcing the warmth and serenity of the scene. The loose, expressive brushstrokes give the impression of a clear, breezy day, where the sunlight enhances the textures and colors of the buildings and street below.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING ***
