Title: Acrylic painting Snowy village and mountain Mykhailo Patskan Description: NoAAA4805The acrylic painting on cardboard titled "Snowy Village and Mountain" captures a breathtaking winter landscape, where a serene village nestles at the foot of towering, snow-covered peaks. The artist's expressive brushwork and a cool-toned palette of blues, whites, and subtle earthy hues bring to life the crisp atmosphere of a high-altitude settlement enveloped in the embrace of nature. The composition is dominated by the grand mountain range in the background, its peaks dusted with thick layers of snow that glisten under the soft winter light. Broad and textured strokes of white, cream, and light gray create an illusion of rugged terrain, where sharp ridges and gentle slopes interact to form a dramatic yet harmonious backdrop. The way the colors merge suggests the effect of sunlight reflecting off the snow, casting delicate shadows that emphasize the mountain's vastness. Descending from the mountains, the landscape transitions into deep, forested hills, where tall, dark evergreen trees stand like silent guardians of the valley. The artist employs bold and gestural strokes in dark blues, deep purples, and warm browns to depict the dense tree line, evoking a sense of depth and movement. The play of shadow and light within the forest hints at the unseen paths winding through the woods, leading toward the village hidden below. In the foreground, the village is painted in a way that suggests a quiet, isolated settlement, where houses with snow-covered roofs rest along the icy landscape. These small wooden structures, painted in earthy browns, blacks, and whites, contrast beautifully against the dominant blue tones of the surrounding snow and sky. The placement of the houses follows a natural curve, leading the viewer's eye toward the heart of the scene, creating a sense of perspective and scale. The snow itself is depicted with layers of blue, white, and soft hints of gray, suggesting both the coldness of the landscape and the gentle way light interacts with its surface. The smooth application of color in certain areas contrasts with the textured brushwork used to convey the uneven terrain, where drifts and packed snow reflect the harsh winter environment. Above, the sky stretches out in an expanse of soft blues, blending seamlessly into the snowy peaks. Wispy strokes of white and pale yellow hint at clouds drifting across the sky, adding an airy quality to the composition.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING ***
