Title: Oil painting Childhood in the aromas of grass Oksana Ivanyuk Description: NoAAA5414The Oil painting on canvas titled "Childhood in the aromas of grass" unfolds as a vivid recollection of innocence and simplicity, a visual memory captured in color and texture. At its center stands a modest whitewashed house with a glowing red roof, nestled amidst an abundance of greenery and framed by tall, slender trees that rise toward the vibrant sky. The scene exudes warmth and familiarity, as though it were drawn from a memory of childhood summers spent in a village where time slowed down and every detail carried meaning. The building is not grand, yet it is radiant, embodying the sense of home as a place of belonging and shelter. The bold red roof contrasts against the cool blue sky, creating a visual anchor that immediately draws the eye, while the white walls glow with light, suggesting both purity and nostalgia. The surrounding nature dominates the canvas, overflowing with expressive strokes of green, yellow, and earthy brown. The thick impasto brushwork gives the foliage a sculptural quality, making each tree and bush feel tangible, as if one could almost inhale the aroma of freshly cut grass or blooming plants. The painter's use of texture transforms the landscape into an immersive sensory experience, evoking not only sight but smell, touch, and memory. The grassy foreground is painted with energetic strokes of deep green, enriched with shades of violet and brown, reflecting the uneven rhythms of fields and gardens in the countryside. Light falls unevenly across the scene, illuminating patches of foliage in golden hues, suggesting the warmth of a summer afternoon when sunlight seems to linger on every leaf and blade of grass. The sky above, painted in broad, expressive layers of blue and lavender, expands the composition and provides a sense of freedom and endless possibility, echoing the boundless horizons of childhood imagination. The interplay between the monumental trees and the open sky creates a rhythm of vertical and horizontal movement, reinforcing the balance between protection and openness-between the intimate embrace of home and the infinite call of the world beyond. In this way, the painting captures the duality of childhood: the safety of the familiar and the excitement of discovery.*** ABOUT THIS PAINTING ***
