Additional Information: Johann Wilhelm (1658-1716, from 1690 Elector Palatine of the Rhine. Letter signed in Italian with translation to Antonio Marquez, Captain of the Guard to Pope Clement XI, in part saying saying that the honor which his imperial majesty Leopold I "has laid on you by appointing you to his counselor of state is clear proof of your merit". Single sheet signed with address leaf detached. Toning and some tattering to address leaf very good folio.
