Vintage Silver Plated Rosary, Marked Israel 17", All Metal, 1960's-1970's. This is 17" from the tip of the crucifix to the curved decades loop. The cross is appx. 1.25" tall and 3/4" wide. The back of the Blessed Mother att he intersection piece is marked Israel on the back and another Milor and .924 - however, this is not testing as sterling. The beads are an appx. width of 4mm. This is strung on a chain that is appx. 1.5mm wide. It has a little positive reaction to the acid testing but it is not solid as sterling would be - it is believed to be silver plated. It also has a magnetic reaction further confirming it is not sterling. I did see similar rosaries in the $150 to $220 range for a near identical match to this rosary. It does have oxidaton but can be polished back to bright and shiny. Very clean and in very good condition. Weight is appx. 14.64 grams. Great rosary to carry with as it is not heavy and with the smaller beads, fits nicely in to a zipper compartment in a purse or slipped into a console compartment in your car to always have it with you.
