Vintage Sterling Thimble, Sz. 9, 1920's-1940's, Signed S. This is believed to be Simons Brothers. Scrolled S inside a shield frame. This is marked sterling silver around the maker's mark and tests as sterling with an appx. weight of 5.12 grams. It has a nearly 1/2" smooth band at the bottom where it is marked 9 for the size. This does have some wear, mostling in the round shape a the bottom being out-of-round from use - there are a few marks on the band, likely from pins. It is a little taller than many a appx. 1" tall from the dome in the top to the bottom. Even with these marks it is still good condition and can be used. This came from a PA estate auction with a large sterling thimble collection. (WPS71825.1X3 SS16944 J LD 10/31/25).
