by Richard Hodd & Son, London, 1890, of oval form with a gadrooned body and ingraved with the Howard crest of a lion, its front paw on a deer's head, the radiating flutes rising from the base and continuing across the lower section of the spout, the upper body plain and polished, the hinged cover with conforming fluted dome and turned wood finial, the angular wooden handle with silver mounts, and a tapering curved spout
