The Kusu people live in eastern Congo, DRC, mainly in the province of Maniema, but also in those of North Kivu, Ituri and Tanganyika.
They are geographically and culturally close to the Tetela and have adopted certain social and artistic traditions from the Luba, Hemba and Songye.
