This is the broken end of a fine Viking woman warrior's gilt bronze bracelet. It is about 1/2" x 1". It has raised borders flanking two pierced hearts. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is a woman warrior’s bracelet, broken in the warrior’s funerary process. It is well documented that women fought alongside men and women’s burials containing swords, other weapons and armor are documented. The surface is well preserved burial. It was handcrafted by a Viking artisan 1000 years ago! It has been professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and mounted to an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. It comes with a certification of authenticity, and jewelry gift boxed.
