Description

Wearable size 9. The band, 2.8mm thick, with twisted or roped motif its full circumference which is rare. It also is modeled in the full round with roping to the inside, now showing wear from use. The spiral or helix was a form of particular interest to Vikings. It was used in full relief as here and represented in low relief (surface relief) in jewelry and other metalwork. Well modeled and preserved. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. See the reference image which shows the process. Gift boxed with a certification of authenticity.
