This is an original World War II German National Socialist League of the Reich for Physical Exercise (NSRL/DRL) Silver Sports cloth badge, dated 1944. The cloth badge was machine-woven in silver-colored threads onto a black rayon base. It features an eagle with down-swept wings and a mobile swastika on its breast, surrounded by an open-ended wreath of oak leaves. The date "1944" is visible below the eagle's talons. This version of the award was intended to be sewn onto an athletic uniform.
