Jill Moser (born 1956) is an American contemporary artist based in New York City, noted for her interdisciplinary abstract practice that bridges painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and artist?s books.Moser?s work is rooted in gestural abstraction and the expressive potential of line and mark-making, often exploring the dynamic interplay between painting and the rhythms of written language, movement, and the ?animated image.Ó Her lyrical, calligraphic marks and layered compositions reflect an ongoing investigation into the performative act of making and the intersections between visual art and text.She earned her B.A. from Brown University (1978) and an M.F.A. from Hunter College (1981), and has taught at institutions including Princeton University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
