SERIAL NUMBER: NSN, BARREL: 40 1/2". CALIBER: ABOUT 62, MFG: Late 18th early 19th century. Fullstock flintlock rifle features, full length octagon/round barrel with V notch rear sight and post front sight. The English lock is not marked The hardware is brass including a 4 piece patchbox. The full length stock is tiger maple. CONDITION: Good. The rile has been converted to percussion from flintlock during the period of use. The lock action works. The barrel and lock are mostly smooth metal with a gray patina and areas of varnish.. The bore is dark. The checkered stock has handling marks, cracks and impressions. The forestock has shy areas. Despite the imperfections the rifle displays well. ANTIQUE
