
Description
This majolica style ceramic bowl was hand painted and made in Italy. Imported by Horchow in the late 30th Century, it features two monkeys atop a large bowl of bananas. One monkey is eating a banana and the other monkey is clamoring for one.
These bowls are discontinued and were produced in a limited quantity making them highly collectible today.
This piece is wonderful for a buffet giving a Palm Beach Regency flair. It is shown here full of beaded and sugared fruit which is not included.

Condition Notes: The bowl is in wonderful vintage condition. We found no chips or cracks. There is very minor paint loss on the tips of a couple of the bananas. Please see all photos.
