Non only is this the gold and white porcelain Charger beautiful but it is by the famous artist and plate designer Carlo Marchiori who is much in the school of Art Deco black and white plates and other decorative objects, Piero Fornasetti. What distinguishes this artist's plate are the delightful clownish imps that decorate the sides of the plate that surround the beautiful Italian lady. What a joy this unique Italian artist to in an upscale vintage store in Los Angeles California.
He is also a brilliant painter as well.
