Very pretty Japanese 4-panel painted silk Byobu (folding screen), depicting a peaceful scene at the bank with mountains, trees and boats. Signed by artist. Watercolor and ink on silk over paper. Silk border. Painted gold wood frame with brass corners. Fabric over paper and original label on back. Four metal hangers and two metal stretchers are included. Japan, Showa Era, circa 1970s. Very Good condition - no damage to the painting, some age wear to the frame and back, minor repairs on few hinges, patches on back of the external panels, strong hinges, clean, sturdy.
