This is a wonderful early Italian Venetian carved wood and gesso mirror that was updated probably in the 1970's with bright orange paint which is coordinated with the original gold and faux aged for a striking mid century look. The back was replaced with cardboard and I am guessing that is because the mirror was replaced.

I love that the original design is not exactly symmetrical but has opposing similar elements. The mirror is 35 inches high and 16.5 inches wide and with its original classic style with the fun updates, it will add a splash of color to any decor.
