Description

Solid 1/2 inch thick wooden box, with animal hide covering. Tanned leather banding with domed head brass studs as decoration and also as initials to lid. Fringed leather apron to top. Iron lock plate, ( no key). Circa 1840-60. .14 x 9.5 x 9 inches* normal use wear for age, reverse has cracking to the skin covering. Faint pencil marks to interior lid
