Title: Mid-century Regancy Brass & Ceramic TV Lamp & Planter by Sierra Columbia Description: A rare mid-century Hollywood Regency style TV lamp with a gold-tone casted screen and a green pottery planter. The design features a high-gloss, emerald green ceramic vessel nestled within an ornate, gold-tone metal filigree (or fretwork) cage and features the glamorous "gold-on-green" aesthetic popular during the 1950s. This lamp was made by Sierra-Columbia in Los Angeles and features their label along the back. TV Lamps are a particularly iconic type of vintage home decor. Manufactured primarily in the 1950s and early 60's, these little lamps were designed to sit on top of the television and shine against the wall behind it to cast a soft glow to alleviate the eye strain of viewing in a darkened room. Highly decorative, TV Lamps came in a variety of shapes and themes, but are most commonly glazed ceramic with some painted details. Measurements: 10.5" X 10.5" Wide X 5" Deep United States, 1950
