Description: Mid-century "Sommerso" Amethyst Tone Murano glass ashtray by Archimede Seguso. The ashtray features a deep, layered effect, almost as if one color is floating inside another. Its design is enhanced by two gracefully swirling cigarette holders on each side, resembling delicate droplets. The ashtray’s base is carefully curved, adding to its visual appeal and providing a sturdy foundation. The base also has a signature-level finish, with smooth, polished surfaces, indicative of the artisan’s skill and attention to detail. Archimede Seguso, a renowned glassmaker from Murano, Italy. Seguso is famous for his intricate designs, including glass pieces with swirling handles and dual-handled shapes.
