Shirley was an American interior designer, furniture designer, and Movie Art Director, their company helped to popularize rattan furniture in the United States during the 1940s thru 1960s. Shirley Ritts was the mother of photographer and music video director, Herb Ritts Jr..Shirley Ritts was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 28, 1920. Herb Ritts Sr. also invented the "S springs" under the cushions in the early 50's You see them on a lot of different rattan items in the 40's through the 70's The Ritts's were a giant in the Rattan Industry as was Paul Laszlo, Paul Frankl, and C.W. Fishbeck of Tropical Sun Rattan of Pasadena (started 1905) Custom cushions C.O.M. (Costumer's Own Material) are included in the price. Simply supply the fabric and we have the cushions made for you.
