Title: 1626 English Vellum Deed Sir Richard Tichborne Signed Additional Information: A large English vellum indenture dated 1626 during the reign of King Charles the 1st being the conveyance of Compton Hall in the county of Southampton by Sir Richard Tichborne (1578-1657) a Knight, politician, and royalist commander during the English Civil War at Winchester Castle. The document is signed by him and others including on verso, also nice Chancery docket. Neatly penned in English with large calligraphic initial letter. In good condition with large break at one fold, and creasing, remnants of seal tags. An interesting document for research measures 28 x 21”.
