This is a charming 25" Antique Bisque head/Composition body doll, made in Germany.
This is not the usual antique German doll you can find on internet.
It is very hard to find a doll made by this German doll company.
The doll is made by C.M. BERGMANN WALTERSHAUSEN.
Back of the neck is marked, "C.M. BERGMANN WALTERSHAUSEN - Germany - 1916".
She has a gorgeous open mouth with teeth showing and delicately brushed upper and lower eyelashes.
She has large, brown sleep eyes that open and close.
The eyes sometimes are a little crooked
The doll has a composition body, arms and legs, and bisque head.
There are no visible cracks or damage on the bisque head.
The composition body is in good condition with some discoloration and paint peeling.
There is some damage on her butt, and some minor scratches.
The wig needs some adjusting/cleaning/styling.
She wears a pink dress with lace and white sock.
I would consider that her clothes are vintage rather than antique.
There could be some small rips and stains, consistent with the age of the old antique and vintage clothes
The doll is in overall good antique condition.
Simply gorgeous!
It will be a great gift to someone special or beautiful addition to any antique dolls collection!
