For your considerration is an Antique Pine Flat-Wall Rustic Step-Back Cupboard, circa late 19th to early 20th century. The American Farmhouse design hutch cabinet, also commonly referred to as a china cabinet or a step-back cupboard, is made of solid wood. Cupboard is a two-part form with an upper display section that is set back from the lower base, creating a narrow counter area. It features glass-paneled doors, ideal for displaying dishware or collectibles. The interior shelves are visible, and the top has a simple, straight cornice molding. The lower section provides concealed storage with solid wood panel doors and a central drawer, suitable for keeping items like silverware or linens out of sight. It also includes an open storage space with a pull-out wooden bin, possibly for items like flour or potatoes in a kitchen setting. Simple, traditional hardware, includes small knobs on the drawer and latches on the doors, ornate escutcheons and pull.
