Title: Oil painting Summer river bank Boris Serdyuk Description: NoAAA5313The oil painting on Cardboard titled "Summer River Bank" invites the viewer into a vivid and warm riverside scene where the joy and energy of summertime are captured through rich, expressive brushstrokes and a vibrant color palette. The artist has employed impasto techniques with remarkable confidence, allowing thick layers of paint to bring depth, motion, and tactile presence to every element of the composition. At the heart of the painting is a calm river, its surface rendered in deep blues, lilacs, and soft turquoise hues that suggest a shifting play of light and water. Reflections dance across the ripples as the water laps gently against the sandy shore. Near the foreground, a dark wooden boat floats in the shallows, its silhouette creating a striking contrast with the bright, sunlit riverbank. The placement of the boat hints at human presence-perhaps a moment of rest, a simple pause during a day of fishing or exploration. The shoreline itself is depicted in warm ochres, beiges, and siennas, mimicking the heat of the sun-baked earth. It curves naturally into the composition, guiding the eye toward a verdant patch of green that juts slightly into the river. The artist has masterfully layered bold strokes of yellow-green and jade, conveying the lushness of summer grasses and low vegetation. This bright island of color brings balance to the cooler tones of the water and sky, anchoring the entire composition with a sense of freshness and life. To the right, a group of tall trees with slender trunks rise, their crowns painted in a mix of violet, lavender, mint, and forest green. These trees provide both shelter and a frame to the composition, their shadows deepening the sense of contrast and atmospheric perspective. Their forms are loosely suggested rather than tightly defined, emphasizing mood over precision and allowing the viewer's imagination to participate in the scene. In the middle ground, nestled among patches of foliage, stand the golden spires of what appears to be a distant church or chapel. The touches of gold and coral pink used in the architecture catch the light dramatically, hinting at spiritual or cultural significance without overwhelming the scene. This architectural element connects the natural world with human history, grounding the painting in a real place while still evoking a dreamlike quality.
