Title: Oil painting Autumn September days Boris Serdyuk Description: NoAAA5322The oil painting on Cardboard titled "Autumn September Days" vividly encapsulates the emotional and visual essence of early autumn, when the world seems suspended between the lingering warmth of summer and the cooling hush of the coming fall. The composition is centered around a single expressive tree, its limbs stretching in silhouette against a glowing landscape and a turbulent violet-blue sky, rendered with bold impasto and dramatic color choices. The dominant tree in the foreground is brought to life with thick strokes of warm crimson, russet, and burnt sienna, merging into vibrant orange highlights that suggest leaves ablaze in the golden light of a September evening. The branches are strong yet sinuous, bending under the last energy of summer, and they form a rich web of movement and shape. The deep black and dark purple hues at the base of the trunk ground the painting in a sense of rooted permanence while contrasting with the livelier tones above. Behind the tree, the horizon opens into a luminous band of golden yellow and orange, evoking the effect of sunlight filtering through a low sky near sunset. This radiant light is not only a visual focal point-it's an emotional one, too. It captures that fleeting warmth of autumn afternoons, the kind that invites reflection and quiet walks before the days grow shorter. The river or body of water that cuts across the middle ground mirrors this golden glow with fluid reflections. The brushwork in the water is less textured than that of the tree or ground but still dynamic, blending hues of ochre, copper, and cream with soft strokes of blue, giving the surface a flickering, almost trembling quality. The reflection is distorted but recognizable, emphasizing the interplay between clarity and change-an underlying theme in this seasonal moment. The left side of the composition presents a denser forested area or perhaps distant shrubbery, composed with rich chocolate browns, burgundy, and ochre. The paint is layered in heavy, determined movements, building a visual density that balances the openness of the sky and light on the right. These areas of earth and vegetation serve as anchors to the composition, reminding the viewer of the constant undercurrent of nature's cycle.
