Description:This is a large, superb map of North Holland, north of Amsterdam. The map shows Amsterdam in part and also Hoorn, Monnickendam (Munnekedam), Enkhuizen (Enckhuysen) , and Alkmaar (Alckmiaer). The map is oriented with west at top and shows the Markemeer on the bottom. The surrounding seas are filled with dozens of various sailing vessels. The interior is filled with much detail as rivers, a plethora of canals, dikes, polders sandbars, etc.
