Title:Chinese Polychrome Ginger Jar c 1920

Size:4 7/8 in (12.4 cm) diameter x 4 1/4 in (10.8 cm) tall.

Description:A colorful hand painted and hand potted Chinese ginger jar.

The body has been hand painted in a design of lotus flowers and scrolling vines on a yellow ground. The shallow rounded foot is unglazed, and you can see the potter's wheel marks under the glaze on the base. The base, interior and rim are glazed with a white enamel. The word CHINA is stamped in over glaze red on the base.

MEASUREMENTS
4 7/8 in (12.4 cm) diameter x 4 1/4 in (10.8 cm) tall. Weighs 14.5 oz (410 g)

CONDITION
There are no breaks, chips, cracks or repairs to either piece. The glazed colors are bright and fresh looking. There are a few kiln flaws, such as glaze misses and bumps.

This ornate and vibrant ginger jar would be a stunning addition to any room.
