Description
A tall tapering cylindrical vessel with a looped handle. The lid is hinged with a flat stop. The pouring spout is set back from the rim to help stop drips. The metal is heavy and originally had shiny silver plate; however the most of the silver has been polished off. The body has an etched design of flowers and berries. Above the base is a repousse band of floral scrolling. The foot is raised. The lid has polished up well, as has the repousse band and base.
There is a mark stamped on the middle of the base. GREAT EASTERN SILVERWARE CO. WARRANTED QUADRUPLE PLATE and the number 219. The wording forms a circle.
