Condition: Used,Brand: ArtGlass,Type: Vase,Country of Origin: Italy Beautiful 'Vetro Soffiato' vase with bell-shaped bowl and conical foot made of very thin, light blue, transparent glass. Made by Cirillo Maschio, Venini or Cappelin Murano Venice in the late 1920s. The shape is reminiscent of the early works of Carlo Scarpa. In 1921 Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin founded a company that would become world famous. Under the artistic directions of Vittorio Zecchin the Vetri Soffiati Cappellin Venini & C. become the whiz kid of the golden 1920s. Over the decades, countless world-renowned artists like Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Tomaso Buzzi, Fulvio Bianconi, Tuni Zuccheri, Thomas Stearns, Toots Zynski or Ettore Sottsass have enthusiastically worked for Venini, designing something very special with each of their new techniques and designs.
