  • Description: Sterling Southwestern Gaspeite Signed Necklace, 20", Unisex, Hand Crafted. The pendant has a wide bail and is appx. 2-5/8" long and 1" at the widest point. This has a mod Southwestern look with a 23mm by 14mm oval gaspeite stone and a 10mm round white stone set above that has a circular green and yellow marking inside the stone. Both stones are fully bezel-set and raisd above the heavy sterling beaded and curved accents. The necklace is a 20" sterling figaro link that is appx. 3.5mm wide with lobster clasp. The chain is signed KA 1772 which is Karizia Spa in Italy that is a mker of sterling jewelry. The pendant however is not from that company - it has an elaborate decorative maker's mark on the back which is a teardrop shape raised on the back with a long stem and coiled end and on the teardrop there is a circle with two R letters, set front and back). That is an unknown maker to me. Weight of the entire necklace is appx. 28.72 grams. Very good condition. This is a more modern piece likely 1980's or after at my best estimation. I've seen similar necklaces selling above $175 and higher and not this elaborate. (W101224.8X2 SS14819 J LD 10/18/24).
