Title: Vintage Sterling Hummingbird Brooch, Signed A.M., Possibly Navajo, 1960's

Description: Vintage Sterling Hummingbird Brooch, Signed A.M., Possibly Navajo, 1960's. This is a thick modernist depiction of a hummingbird. The maker's mark matches one exactly for an item listed in Nativo Arts vintage auctioneers. The artis is listed as a Navajo artist but I have no way of authenticating that. The pin in that listing is an eagle but they do not reference the maker's name. and their eagle is listed at $269. They are out of New Mexico and do appear to be a very well known and trusted company with many Native American pieces. This hummingbird pin has it's long tail folded under his body with his wings in the outward flapping motion. The brooch is appx. 1.5" wide and 1.25" tall. It is marked sterling and tests as sterling with an appx. weight of 9.79 grams. It is in very good condition and also appx. 2mm thick which is thicker than many pieces you see in silver. (NY2.1X5 SS15810 J LD 5/15/25).
