  • Description: Vintage Sterling Mexican Abalone Necklace, 1940's-1950's, 15", marked Mexico, Taxco, Signed EAC or EAG. This is a curved link - like a paisley shape and connected on each end with a ring. The links tend to flip in opposite directions and it just takes a gentle movement to get it in the right direction and works best to lay in on a flat surface to do that. Do not force as it will go into position with gentle movement. Box clasp .Two of the links do have some abalone missing which is an easy fix but it is also hard to notice given the mosaic design. The links are pointed on one edge and appx. 1/2" on the wider curved edge. Vintage oxidation that can be polished away. A stellar vintage piece with great cultural appeal. Other than the little missing abalone as mentioned, this is in good condition. (W7/15/23.2X4 SS11768 J LD 9/5/23).
