Probably Canton, Qing dynasty, of cylindrical form with slightly domed cover, the body pierced throughout with an intricate honeycomb trellis pattern reserved in bright yellow glaze, interspersed with shaped panels enamelled with floral sprays in famille rose colours. The cover similarly reticulated and surmounted by a green-ground knop applied with moulded flowers and trailing ribbon-tied garlands. The whole raised on a spreading foot with turquoise and iron-red vertical banding
