From a set that was part of the meeting room of an auction house in Venlo (1928), designed by architect J Grubben.
Footnote:
Grubben was inspired by 'De Stijl', but he was also influenced by both the Amsterdam School and the Hague School.
Condition Report:
Overall the chairs appear in good order. There are some minor surface marks, scratches and light knocks throughout commensurate with use and age. The ebonised sections with some degree of light fading throughout commensurate with use and age. The chairs were reupholstered in the 1960s. Otherwise strcuturally sound.
