A E Jones was an important Arts and Crafts metalworking firm founded by Albert Edward Jones (1879-1954) in 1902 and based in Birmingham until its closure in the 1980s. Originally the firm's major commissions were for ecclesiastical plate and beautifully designed and produced domestic pieces, from the 1930`s onwards, they increasingly specialised in civic plate.
The firm is now recognised as one of the foremost artistic British silversmiths of the early/mid 20th century, their work is highly collectable due to its distinctive design and unwavering and unique style.
