Title: Vintage Sword Brooch, Engraved Mother, MOP Hilt, 1930's-1940's

Description: Vintage Sword Brooch, Engraved Mother, MOP Hilt, 1930's-1940's, C-Clasp. This is 3" long, and appx. 3/4" high. It has a wide faux mother-of-pearl hilt and a chain connect from the blade to the handle. Curved sword brooch with a c-clasp. Gold tone brassy metal. When researching this piece - it appears having mother on swords has been going on for quite some time. The best connection I found was in the 1860's when Queen Victoria's mother passed away. This is not signed by the maker. It has some typical vintage wear but nothing unexpected for the age. Good conidtion. (W10621.8 SS7775 J LD 7/9/22)
