Title: Vintage Sterling Ammonite & Moon Face Pendant on 20" Plated Chain

Description: Vintage Sterling Ammonite & Moon Face Pendant on 20" Plated Chain. The pendant is marked .925 and tested. It is appx. 3" by 1.5" and weight is appx. 27.30 gr. for pendant only. It has a bezel-framed ammonite front with the flat side up and a carved white man-on-the-moon sleeping back with open V bail. The back of the pendant is open and has the shimmery rounded ammonite on back. This comes with a 20" rounded snake chain that is marked ,.925 but is plated. It is appx. 2mm wide. The pendant came without a chain and unfortunately I am out of sterling chains at the moment but wanted it to have a chain with it so it has a plated chain which is easy to slip off and replace with your own chain, leather, or ribbon. The ammonite does have one chamber that has anatural opening, it is not damaged, just the ammonite in its natural conditon. Very good condition and a very nice quaity piece. The moon is beileved to be some type of carved bone. It is not signed by the maker. The pendant was likely made post mid-century, the ammonite existed long before that time.
