HERGÉ: (1907-1983) Georges Prosper Remi. Belgian Cartoonist. Best known for creating the series of comics The Adventures of Tintin. A good and clean A.l.S., `Hergé´, one page, to his 5 x 4 personal card, n.p., 10th June 1975, in French. The card shows Hergé´s printed name to the upper left corner and his address at Avenue Louise 162, Brussels, to the lower right corner. Hergé thanks and congratulates his correspondent and states `Mille mercis, cher Monsieur, pour la copie de la lettre de la Bibliothèque Royale. Et bravo pour votre persévérance! Espérons qu´elle sera récompensée!´ (Translation: "Many thanks, sir, for the copy of the letter from the Royal Library. And congratulations on your perseverance! Let's hope it pays off!". VG
