The exiled Prince states that he received his correspondent's kind letter, on the occasion of last Christmas, with great satisfaction and continues to remark 'Les voeux pleins de ferveur que vous avez faits pour moi me sont trop agreables, pour manquer a vous en temoigner ma sensibilite, et a vous donner cette assurance de toute l'estime que je fais de votre personne' (Translation: 'The wishes full of fervour that you have made for me are too pleasant for me to fail to show you my sensitivity to them, and to give you this assurance of all the esteem I have for your person'). With integral address leaf bearing a small red wax seal (small area of paper loss caused by the original breaking of the seal). A few very light, minor stains to the edges and light age wear, VG
