CHARLES III (1948- ) King of the United Kingdom since 2022. A printed 8vo folding menu card for the H.M.S. Kelly Re-Union Association Dinner on board H.M.S. President, 25th May 1984, signed (´Charles´) by the Prince of Wales in black fountain pen ink with his name alone to a clear area at the centre of the front cover. VG

During World War II H.M.S. Kelly was commanded by Louis Mountbatten, a great-uncle and mentor to the future King Charles III. The K-class destroyer was lost in action in 1941 during the Battle of Crete.
